Under the direction of Thomas Bergeron (Principal Trumpet of the SSO), the musicians of the Springfield Symphony Orchestra will perform a wide range of patriotic favorites, recognizable classics, and celebrated orchestral works on July 4th at 7PM. There will be marches by John Phillip Sousa, Duke Ellington-inspired selections, American orchestral standards by Aaron Copland and Martin Gould, and so much more. Springfield Songstress Vanessa Ford will lend her voice to several songs.
Star Spangled Springfield is a free event and will be held at Riverfront Park.
